The Child Studies Lab attended the biennial conference of the Cognitive Development Society (CDS) conference in
Pasadena, California.

Vanessa received the Morgan Award for Academic Excellence from UCSB's Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences.

Rodney received a fellowship through the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF–GRFP). Being chosen as a fellow is a significant national accomplishment.
