New Baby Study at UCSB Child Studies lab
New Baby Study for Babies 15-20 months at UCSB Child Studies Lab!
In this study we are interested in whether infants think people who do the same things are more likely to like the same foods than people who do different things. To ask this, your infant will be shown a set of videos featuring two English speakers turning on a light with either their head or their elbow. The two speakers will then try different foods either express liking or disliking for the foods. We know from past research that infants look longer at events that are surprising, so we can use your infant’s attention to the movies to learn whether your infant thought the people would like or dislike each other. The study, including the survey, will take less than 30 minutes, but we will schedule you for an hour appointment so that you and your infant have plenty of time to settle in and get familiar with our center.
This event is for 15 to 20-month-old infants.
If you are interested in learning more about the study, or in coming in to participate, feel free to give us a call at 805-893-5498.
