Dr. Liberman presents talk at Society for Research in Child Development conference
Dr. Liberman presented a talk titled "Children think that it is good to share personal secrets, but bad to gossip" at the biennial meeting of the Society for Research in Child Development (SRCD).
"In work led by graduate student Alisa Bedrov, we found that by the early school years children think that how we share information can impact our reputation and our relationships. Although children like people who share their own personal secrets, and think that people who share secrets will protect their friendships, they don't like people who share gossip, and think that gossiping can harm friendships."
Cheers, Dr. Liberman!
