Oya Serbest joins the lab
Oya joins the lab as a graduate student!
Oya Serbest is a first-year Ph.D. student in Developmental and Evolutionary Psychology Program under the supervision of Dr. Zoe Liberman. She received her BA in Psychology and MA in Psychological Sciences (Specialization in Developmental Psychology) from Boğaziçi University, Istanbul, Turkey. During her MA years, she worked as the lab manager of Baby and Child Development Laboratory at Boğaziçi University.
Her main research interests are social categorization and intergroup attitudes. More specifically, she is interested in how multilingual environments influence children’s understanding of group boundaries. Another line of her research focuses on religious cognition and the development of biases based on religious identities.
