Martha Garcia participates in California Alliance for Minority Participation summer research program
Martha is participating in the National Science Foundation funded California Alliance for Minority Participation (CAMP) Program here at UC Santa Barbara. The CAMP Program is intended to provide intensive research opportunities and experiences to students under-represented in STEM fields.
"As an intern apart of the CAMP program at UC Santa Barbara, I am working on a project with my mentors which involves looking at how nationality can have an effect on how people specifically kids, view others of differing nationalities. I am responsible for reaching out for participants, coding our participants videos, check for interferences or other unprecedented issues, and updating our data system."
